Pastor ยท Serving since 2004

Pastor B. A. Kiran Kumar has been serving Good News Baptist Church since 2004. He has a firm commitment to see each believer rooted and grounded in the word of God.

Therefore, you will not hear "feel good" preaching aimed at exciting the emotions at GNBC. Instead, you will hear uncompromising, sound doctrinal and practical, King James Bible-based preaching and teaching.

Expository preaching, Evangelism, Discipleship, Sound Doctrine, and Manuscript Evidence supporting the preservation of the words of God in the Authorized Version of 1611, are the main foci of his ministry.

Pastor Kiran Kumar's vision is to reach every state in India with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ by training men from every state and sending them back as missionaries to reach their own people.

Our Symbol

The GNBC Emblem

Our emblem is adapted from the historic Waldensian crest, each element carefully chosen to reflect our identity as a Bible Believing Baptist Church.

GNBC Emblem
โฌ›

The Colour โ€” Black

The Waldensian colour for darkness is blue (representing the "night blue sky"). We have changed it to black, which more fully denotes the darkness of the present Christ-less world โ€” a better representation of "LUX LUCET IN TENEBRIS" and the darkness before dawn, before the Sun of Righteousness arises.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ

The Frame โ€” Shield of Faith

The Waldensian frame has been changed to a shield, denoting "the shield of faith" which we are called to take for protection and defence against "the fiery darts of the wicked".

โš”๏ธ

The Sword โ€” Word of God

A sword has been added to picture the "sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God", given to the Christian as the only weapon of offence โ€” mighty through God for casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.

๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ

The Word โ€” Light & Lamp

The word of God as light dispels the darkness of sin and shines in our hearts "to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." It is through the medium of the local churches, denoted by the seven stars, that this work is accomplished in the world.

Why the Waldensian Emblem?

The Waldensian Church is a continuation of the Apostolic Church โ€” those true believers who, from the days of the Apostles, never joined the state-sponsored "mainline church." They were always persecuted for maintaining ecclesiastical separation from the state and were characterised by holy lives. This is the true Apostolic succession โ€” a succession of the teaching of the Apostles among believers as found in the New Testament.

History tells us that this group of Christians who lived in the mountains of Italy and France possessed a Bible which was different from the Bible of the "mainline church." This Bible was a representative of the pure and preserved words of God of the Received Text from Antioch. They were brutally persecuted and massacred for their obstinate resistance to joining the Roman Catholic Church.

Today, the Bible Believing Baptists are known for their stand for the King James Bible, the Authorized Version of 1611 โ€” the English Bible of the Protestant Reformation which, like the Waldensian Bible, is based on manuscripts preserved by the true church of Jesus Christ throughout the church age.
