The Holy Scriptures
The absolute, sole, authoritative rule for faith and practice is the Protestant Reformation Text of the King James Version otherwise known as the Authorized Version of 1611.
The only Biblical way of interpreting this Book is by comparing Scripture with Scripture. No regard is to be given to any tradition or private interpretation of any Church or denomination.
Whenever any man, church, or organization denies the literal interpretation of the word of God in its proper context, their opinions are to be lightly esteemed in spiritual matters.
The literal sense of the plain English is always to be preferred over appeals to so called "original autographs", which are non-existent.
Reasons For The Above Statements
We believe in the INSPIRATION as well as the providential PRESERVATION of the Holy Scriptures. We also believe that God inspired the original Scriptures and preserved them in the form in which He intended us to have them. Psalm 12:6-7
We further believe that the purpose of this preservation was to maintain the infallibility of the inspired, original text. It is absurd to think that God would inspire the original autographs only for them to be lost without being transmitted to His people without error. To believe in the doctrine of the inerrancy of the Scriptures is foolishness, if God has not preserved them.
Antioch, Syria, the hub of Apostolic activity, was the place from which the God-honoured Greek Text originated and was disseminated throughout the regions where the faith had spread. The preservation of this Greek Text of the New Testament was primarily within the realm of the Greek Church and the text of the majority of manuscripts from Antioch is the providentially preserved and AUTHORIZED text.
This text, commonly known as the Textus Receptus, was revived in the Reformation in the Balkans and Germany, when the great Reformers rejected the Alexandrian text of the Roman Catholic Church. This in turn was providentially given to the English-speaking people and the final outstanding representative of this text is the King James, Authorized Version of 1611, which represents a purified, neutral text — i.e. Beza's fifth edition with improvements over Erasmus' text.
Therefore, the Authorised Version of 1611, the only English Bible which is based on the preserved text, is to be considered the preserved word of God. The reason for this being that God would not allow His words to be lost. Having preserved them for generations, He has given them to His people in the universal language of the end times.
